Hello! Let me introduce myself. I’m an adult with ADHD (diagnosed just a few years ago), a mother of 6 boy children, and a Certified ADHD Life Coach trained by Laurie Dupar at the iACT Center.
I subscribe to the philosophy: Be the person you needed when you were younger. So after I’ve struggled through an experience on my own, you will usually find me turning around to help the next person going through it.
I’ve done this as a parenting magazine writer, a childbirth educator, a doula, a baby sign language instructor, a breastfeeding counselor, a youth leader in my church, and now as an ADHD Coach.
Being a parent of a child with ADHD is a blessing and a challenge. Being an ADHD parent of an ADHD child is a whole other world! So, I am passionate about being part of the team to help discover solutions for families as they walk this crazy, frustrating, adventuresome road.
ADHD Coaching is a process in which I partner with you, as the client to learn more about your ADHD (or your family member’s ADHD) and how it affects your life and your family, what’s important and motivating to you, your strengths and values, and what your life would look like if you’d designed it on purpose. Then we work our way through the process of getting you from where you are right now to where you want to be.
As your coach, I honor you as the expert in your own life. If information and ideas were all you needed you could just read a book, a blog or some articles and be done with it. But often other people’s answers just don’t work quite right for you. Through the process of coaching, you and I will find unique solutions to your unique challenges. Solutions that really work in your life!
